Nonprofit Recycling & Reuse NetworkComputer, Laptop, Office & Classroom EquipmentDonations for Recycling & Reuse to Benefit the Nonprofit SectorWhy this service ?When a donor offers something to someone who can use it, rather than dumping it on anyone willing to take it, chances are the gift will be more appreciated and put to good use. What we aim to do is minimize good, useable technology from ending up as useless trash or scrap salvage, rather than being put back into productive service. For some, it is important to know where their gift ends up, and that it is put back into service for a nonprofit cause with which they might identify. Others may look for tax allowances, or simply want to perform an act of giving. For these and other reasons, this unique and innovative service performs a small but vital function for growing nonprofits and their clients, as well as for the earth and our environment. Is this service free?Yes, it is free to join the Recycles.org network, yet for those who use our service for the long term, we ask that you help with our operating expenses. A suggested minimum donation would be twenty dollars for three months of service, depending on how well the service works for you. Another simple guideline for giving is this: If you benefit from our work, please give back a fair portion so that we may continue to meet our expense obligations. We want to make this exchange process simple for everyone, so your giving is voluntary, and payments are accepted on an honor system. Your simple gift of ten dollars is needed, and will pay our operating expenses for one day. Contributions to Recycles.Org are not tax-deductible, yet necessary for our continued survival. As nonprofit community leaders, let's not loose or abuse this useful and valuable resource for our profession. If your intention is to take away what you can, leaving us without an afterthought, you are not welcomed. When we help you, it is only fair that you help us in return, in whatever way you can, so that we may continue our mission too. Will you pledge to support us with a cash contribution if and when assisted? It is up to you, but we hope that in all fairness, you will. How else can I help?Beyond your fair, voluntary giving, we ask that you mention our service to your friends, associates, and the general public whenever and wherever you can. Comments about your experiences with us in blogs, newsletters, and any community forum or media outlet are both appreciated and necessary for our growth. Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, and/or any professional organization to which you may belong both on and off-line are all suitable venues. We'll be looking for you on our Facebook Network, so please join today and invite your friends. Whenever possible, we ask that you place a direct link to the Recycles.org website on your own website, or anywhere you mention us. Visit our linking ideas and logo page here.
